I've been to many, many events before with Andrea Cremer—so many I can't even remember the exact number. Four? Or maybe five? And yet, just a few days ago, I found myself at another Andrea Cremer book signing, this time for her newest novel Rift.
Since I was already in the area, I arrived super early at Books of Wonder. I was not very surprised that author Kody Keplinger and I were not the first ones there, since Andrea Cremer is so popular, but we were still able to snag front row seats.
Andrea Cremer talks about Rift |
Andrea briefly introduced Rift, which is the first of two prequels to her Nightshade trilogy, read a rather eerie section from the book, and then took lots of questions from an eager audience. It was great hearing about all the interesting research Andrea had to do for Rift (since her historical specialty is early modern history and Rift takes place before that time), how she balances writing time, and what she's working on next—specifically, adult books that are set in the world of Nightshade.
I had a lovely time hanging around after the signing and chatting with Rachel from Bookshelf Lust, Mitali from Teen Author Carnival, author Kody Keplinger, as well as the featured lady Andrea Cremer herself, who is so nice and remembered me from when we formally met just a week or so earlier at Teen Author Reading Night.

Sounds like a fantastic event! I love that you've gone to more than one of her signings. So cool!
She's local and I haven't even seen her that many times! Fun event.
