Preview: Find Me by Romily Bernard

"Find Me." These are the words written on Tessa Waye's diary. The diary that ends up with Wick Tate. But Tessa's just been found...dead.

Wick has the right computer-hacking skills for the job, but little interest in this perverse game of hide-and-seek. Until her sister Lily is the next target. Then Griff, trailer-park boy next door and fellow hacker, shows up, intent on helping Wick.

Is a happy ending possible with the threat of Wick's deadbeat dad returning, the detective hunting him sniffing around Wick instead, and a killer taunting her at every step?

I'm a sucker for thrillers, particularly those involving hackers, so Find Me was naturally a good pick for me—and I have to say that I loved it. Debut novelist Bernard does a fantastic job of balancing the plot between the mystery of Tessa's death and her killer with Wick's other personal problems. There is some sort of danger in almost every aspect of Wick's life, and that made Find Me a truly exciting read. I'm so happy to have discovered a quality new writer who does thrillers well and can't wait for her new book, Remember Me.
